Our Story

Located in the Historic Town Of Wappingers Falls is the Chelsea Sportsman Association.For over 50 years "The Sportsman" have been a part of the local Chelsea community.As a place for members and there family's and friends to share more time together and generate up keep funds. A catering hall was added to to the property in 1968 ..The catering hall has always been member managed and was served for decades by the Coughlin Family in Chelsea.12 years ago the Catering Torch passed to The Rywalt Family from Hughsonville one hamlet to the north of Chelsea.The Rywalt Family has been in the hospitality business for almost 30 years.With the second generation of Rywalt kids also "in the business" you can be assured to get the personal attention food and service that has made all of there food service operation great successes.

Open to the Public 

The hall is open to the public and can be rented by you DIY folks..

It's also available for local caterers to rent and host there event's on the gorgeous grounds.Whether a sweet 16 or an anniversary party even an event as special as a wedding .Please note we book up very early for wedding season.These events and more can be hosted and managed and serviced by you,your friends and family.

Another option folks choose.Is to have your event catered by Shadowbook Catering.Shadowbrook has a unique take catering events.We utilize a number of local Chefs  that fit your menu and event plans. We blend the food and services from our preferred partners to make your event seem less.

   Our current preferred partners are Classic Catering..All Events Food Service and Staffing..The BBQ Specialists of the Hudson Valley..and Frankie T's Kitchen and Catering..As you look over our site you'll find that we offer a nice variety of
